Is it possible some how of placing a password on Outlook Express 2007 so I have to login to access my emails? I know Locking my screen would be the easier option but I can't always do that so would prefer a seperate password to access my Inbox and Sent items... is it possible?
Thanks
Dave

3rd October 2009, 12:25 AM #2 I dont know weather this would do anything with regards to you walking away and leaving your computer, if you are afraid of intrusion or someone who shares the computer looking at your email then you can setup a password on the .PST file.
As far as i am aware there is currently no way to password protect outlook, apart from your Windows Logon Password or using 3rd Party Software such as:
Program Lock Pro - Lock any program on your computer - Free software download.
Mail-Lock Outlook Add-In 1.1.34 (Windows), from Groupware Software Solutions - Software Downloads - TechRepublic
*Note: I have not tested any of the above software
Hope that helps,
James.

Yes you can set a password on the pst file and you could make the password not be saved so it has to be entered everytime you want to download mail.

I assumed he ment MS Office Outlook 2007 and that it was a typo, unless he means the new Windows Live Mail which is the replacment of Outlook Express.
