My DNS won't release old host names!
I have many host names apparently served by the same IP address. These are all legacy PC's that have either been removed or renamed. For some reason DNS wont release them.
They all still resolve, but obviously aren't contactable. In some cases i have 6 hosts with the same IP.
I have tried clearing the cache and restarting DNS, is there anything else i can do?
Thanks

We have the same problem. Scavending doesn't remove them.

But you can't do that every week or so when clients pick up new DHCP leases. It is supposed to update automatically and delete the old lease.
