I have just recently configured a brand new server as our new print server. It has Server 2003 as the OS. The server now has a total of 46 network printers installed and more are to follow. The trouble i am having is that after about the 20th install i get a error now saying i cannot set the default printer.
I have tried searching the net but with no luck. I am logged on as Network Admin and still i have no luck............!
Has anyone had similar problems.?

What is it that you are trying to do when you receive the error?

Normally when you install a printer it automatically sets it as default unless you tell it otherwise. I just let it set itself up as default but then i get a error saying 'cannot set default printer'
The printer install dialogue box will not disappear as normal then and i have to choose cancel for it to go away. even though i choose cancel the printer remains installed.
Its not stopping any printing but at the moment i cannot set a default printer.
