I've done this before but for some reason I now seem to have a problem.
I have an OU containing my admin machines and I need to apply the Office MSI to them. I also have a transform (MST) for Office to do some config stuff. The problem is that on the 'Modifications' tab for the software installtion, all the buttons (including the importand 'Add...' button) are greyed out!
I have checked my GPO that installs Office in another OU and applies the transform... the buttons are greyed out there too! I fact the buttons on the 'Modifications' tab for EVERY software installation in EVERY OU are greyed out!
HELP! :?

For the modifications tab to be available, when you add the package in the GPO you have to select 'Advanced' rather than 'Assigned' when prompted.
That then takes you to the properties of the package, I think you have to add the MST there and then
You also only get one chance to apply an MST, if you apply the wrong one you'll have to delete the package from the GPO and start again, as it greys out instantly

Once you have assigned it it doesnt let you change those options (and if it does its not obvious.) You have to remove and reassign and apply the modifications.
I ofc will be very happy if someone can show us otherwise.
