    CTRL+ALT+DEL

When users press CTRL+ALT+DEL to enter their logon details, the PC reboots!

Anyone have any suggestions as I've never seen this before.

    Many thanks

The power button has been pressed whilst the computer is asleep.

What keyboards do you have. I've found some students swapping key blocks with a blank plate that used to house power off, sleep, standby keys so that you think you are pressing del but you are actually pressing power off.

Been trying to find an image to illustrate this but can't at the moment. I can take a photo to clarify if you wish

It usually just happens when someone has pressed the powerbutton when its in screen saver mode, then when the user comes to use it taking it out of an idle state it'll just shut down

Just found the answer. The little darling(s) had pulled off three buttons from a Genius keyboard (Power, Sleep, Wake) and pushed one of the receivers (if that's what you call them) ever so slightly in the corner. Hence the re-boot.

    Many thanks for the replies!
