Hiya ppl I need a huge favor. I'm am currently setting up a new domain and the school has a licence with the LEA for sophos. The old server is being decomissioned and the new server will host the EM Library.
The problem is I don't have the Sophos EM media because it was installed by the LEA tech in the first place, and I don't want to pay again for something I can do my self.
Cheers
Do you really have to pay for 20 min work? That's shocking!
Ours was installed last week at no additional cost by the LEA.

As long as you have the license and login details for pulling down the client software, you can simply download the eval copy off the Sophos website. Use YOUR login and server etails though... not the ones provided by Sophos.
My LEA-types don't supply us with new versions of the Enterprise Manager software which is a bit stoopid cos you need the newer software for the newer clients.
You mentioned that on the other forum Ric - where did you get the details from?
Andy

As has been said you just download from the website using the logon details, which you will also need for it to be able to download the latest updates.
We're lucky in that our LA host Sophos management and we all update from it. Maybe a bit messy with all that update traffic - need something like wsus really to save on bandwidth - especially as local links to the wan are under strain. Otherwise it's a nice solution.
