    Backup - time to change!

Im am sick and tired of running into Backup Exec problems, there a pain to resolve and I've now had enough of it!

Are there any other products out better than Backup Exec?

    NovaStor NovaBackup.

Comes in all sorts of flavours, including workstation DVD backup, server/tape and web based.

At one point you could set up your own web backup (ideal for pyramids!) but have not looked lately.

    Pretty good value too.

There are UK suppliers, pm me if you need a contact.

I agree with Polski, NovaBackup is incredibly good software. It's simple to use and very reliable in my experience.

I downloaded Microsoft DPM 2007, gonna give it a try.

Looks good from what I've seen.

I am tempted by DPM as well. Its that or backup exec again for us I think as I need hyper-v backups.

We moved to CA Arcserve, works really well. If you already have Backup Exec you can get competitive upgrades at a pretty good price. Demo version available to have a play.

Im a Backup-Exec guy as I love it and had no problems with it, but DPM has been well worth thinking about as its not badly priced for education either.
