Sims 3 game Stop 0x000000D1
Daughter has Sims 3 tried to run it on a newish HP laptop (Vist Home Premium SP2) that is well up to spec and in particular has 4GB of RAM. Blue screening with a stop 0x000000D1 message. Tried the programme on a good spec XP Pro SP3 PC desktop and again same stop bluescreen: further details tcpip.sys - address AAE548CE based at AAE5000 desktop 485B89AD
Full stop message Stop 0x000000D1 (0x75616C14, 0X00000002, 0x000000000, 0XAAE548CE
Suggestion disable BIOS options such as caching or shadowing.
Neither operating on either machine.
Anyone else come across this before if so did you solve it and how please?

Looking at the first error message the best first step would be to update/change the drivers for the network card. Find out what it is first in device manager then get the *generic* drivers from the manufacturer website (i.e. broadcom, intel, marvell) rather than HP's site, checking they are a different version to what you're using.
