    IE 8 Settings not holding..

    IE 8 Settings not holding..

I have set in the GPO for Group Admin staff and in Ranger Administrator for the Group Admin Staff that it must use a Proxy server..

Yet when the user logs on the use proxy server is unticked and interferes with their web browsing...

How can I force this to stay..... they use roaming Profiles..

Try just using one of them to set the Proxy Server address, they might be conflicking. Ranger gets applied after settings are applied by the GP I think so try taking out of ranger first.

    Just a thought.

Also are you using the updated ADM file?

The only way I've been able to make this work before is setting it in the default domain policy.

The problem with this is that the Students use a different Proxy server to the Staff so a domain wide policy would affect the students :-(
