    If you're looking for an interpreter rather than a compiler, why not look at BBC Micro emulation?

    The BBC lives! -- Emulators

    (or some other equally good 8bit if you prefer another dialect).

    I thought GW-BASIC was a compiler? Maybe i've used something different.

    QBASIC can be run under DosBox, you might find GWBasic is the same.

    I've found one thanks. I want to create a program to calculate prime numbers with a group of Y7 kids. So I want them to be able to see how things work and then decide how that will help us create the program. INT for example. This is what I found. Basic Interpreter

    I've found a version of GWBASIC that works with XP, so I'm sorted thanks.
