    Outlook question

    Probably a silly one but.....

We've recently implemented Exchange and Outlook. Our ICT co-ordinator has really got the bit between his teeth and is sending out emails left right and centre.

Unfortunately he is sending them out as HTML email and using the most garish and random background/text colours possible. It's giving me a headache. Is it possible to set up a rule in Outlook to convert emails sent from certain accounts straight into plain text bar redirecting his mails to the Junk Email folder?

    Cheers,

    Norphy

it's a bit of a long way around but you could set yourself up as a client to whom you sent emails in plain text. Then create a rule to forward any mail from this user to yourself deleting the original. The problem then comes if you want to reply to this user.

Also does it not work redirecting to junk mail and then out again to another folder ?

Reduce his quota and tell him it's because of the silly backgrounds taking up all his space

    Re: Outlook question

I can sympathise. Our former head of ICT never puts a subject in the email. Trying to find that important email he sent 6 months ago is a real pain in the backside. I am seriously considering doing some training on email for all staff.

One of the Ofsted contractors puts "This is a message from C..... R....." as the subject for ALL messages. How very helpfull of them! :?
