    transfer music??

    on a vista laptop transfered music to a memory stick and then copied it to a XP laptop, but when play the music media player does not play it and cannot understand why??

    It Probably needs codecs try installing this and reboot - Combined Community Codec Pack

    If that doesn't work i can bet allot this will - VLC media player - Overview

    If the music is DRM protected, the license won't have been transferred. This is fairly common with WMA files.

    I also discovered a weird issue with MP11 fairly recently and it only happens on an RM network. Within MP11, navigate to Tools > Options > Devices. Highlight 'Speakers', then click 'Properties'. Change the drop down menu from "Default DirectSound Device" to your actual sound card (which should be in the list). Close and re-open MP11.

    Does this make any difference?
