We are soon to be starting up our own WSS server here and I just had a question about it. Can you use MySQL instead of a SQL Server as the database for WSS?
Also, Which version of SQL server/MySQL works best with WSS 3.0?
Thanks in advance.![]()

I don't think you can.
If you're worried about cost then it's not an issue - WSS will use SQL Express (and I think it actually installs the "Windows Internal Database" which is basically a cut-down version of SQL for single purpose)
