I know Firefox will take a subnet mask in the "do not use proxy for", but IE (on local workstation running W2K SP4 IE 6) seems to dislike it. Is it because I've missed something or does it just not work?
Or is there a better way of setting proxy exceptions? We currently can't redirect requests to intranet servers on our soon-to-be replaced proxy server.
Note that we normally do place proxy exceptions in AD GPO, I'm just testing if subnet masks can make them a bit tidier.

Re: IE - subnet mask in proxy exceptions list?
Go to the advanced section of the Lan Settings dialog.
Use an asterix as a wilcard e.g.
192.168.34.*

@NetworkGeezer
bum, we have that already.
So we can't just go 192.168.2.0/20 for example?
[edited because I can't type today]
