Removal of software from GPO deployment

I have deployed an msi package with a custom .mst file, which stops a
reboot and adds the short cuts to the all users folders and it all works
as it should do. I deploy it by GPO, but when i tested the removal it
works but it reboots the machine rather that going to the log on screen.

Is there anyway on a removal the reboot can be stopped?

    Any suggestions?

Re: Removal of software from GPO deployment

Why do you not want it to reboot which is presumably to remove files that were in use that may have an adverse affect if it doesn't do it?

That's why we use wol to wake up our PCs before anyone gets in. It does all the install, removals and reboots a good hour before the first logon.

Well it all depends on when you remove the msi like anything else you just have to manage it correctly.
