Some of our backups failed over the weekend, and again when I re-ran them manually today, with errors about being unable to reach the destination device, a Buffalo Terastation. I tried accessing it via a mapped drive and browsing to it, but couldn't reach it. I could access the management agent, so logged in and was presented with a message about changing the time zone settings to enable synchronisation (or something like that). I pulled it forward an hour, and the backups then started running and the mapped drives worked again.
Did anyone else encounter anything similar, and is the issue with BackupAssist or the Buffalo?
