I have just spent the last month building a bunch of new images for my network. Being stupidly proactive i put the latest software on all of them including UltraVNC 1.0.5.4.
We use bozteck to manage VNC, however all the new images have an issue. If you VNC to them it lets you connect you can send a Ctr+Alt+Del, then as soon as the desktop appears VNC locks up!!!
You can still move the mouse arround on the screen and click on the start menu and it appears "phyically" on the target pc but the vnc window on my machine just shows the desktop!!!
Occasionally after 10 minutes it may catch up and work fine, but most of the time we have to rush to the pc to sort physically.
Has anyone had this or anything similar as its driving me potty.
If i repalce UltraVNC with real, it works fine but real is no where near as good as ultra!

19th March 2009, 02:55 PM #2 what happens when you click start and then click refresh on the vnc toolbar?
If it refreshs properly that way perhaps there is a way to tell vnc to constantly refresh itself automatically every second or something

19th March 2009, 03:09 PM #4 If i put UltraVNC 1.0.2 on a fresh install of XP its fine, howerver if i pull of 1.0.5 off one of the imaged PC's and put 1.0.2 on i get no connection! Very frustrating
