Exclamation Associating avi files on a network

    Hi Everyone.

Hopefully someone will be able to give me a hand with this request.

We're trying to associate all avi files to be run through quicktime all over our network - but this being done by some kind of script.

I understand the open with function but we're working on a school campus with 500 machine and 1700 users +

Does anyone have any idea how this could be done?

    Many Thanks

This too should work. You can insert it into a logon script:

    Code:
    ftype avifile="C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" "%1"
    assoc .avi=avifile
Just change the directory to wherever you have Quicktime installed.
