Just a quickie,
Im ordering a copy of server 2003 i need urgently, the company im getting it off only has 64bit in stock though.
Does it make a difference if i buy the 64bit and install the 32 bit licensing wise?

16th February 2009, 06:03 PM #3 Depends retail\OEM, yes it matters. Just in terms of getting the media, not sure about licensing.
Volume\Education etc doesn't, other then the extra cost of ordering the CD\DVD (though you should be able to download from http://licensing.microsoft.com

16th February 2009, 06:07 PM #4 For OEM you need to buy the x32 media and license.
To get round your problem install an existing oem copy of server 2003, you will have a 30 days grace period. When you get your software change the product key activate and your away. That will give you 30 days for your software to come in stock.
