    Question RM CC3 Slowdown

    Morning all,

    I have a problem with an RM CC3 network I am unable to solve and I hope someone out there can point me in the right direction!

    A pupil logs on, gets passed the "applying personal settings" stage, then RM Explorer 2 appears, but it appears grey. The interesting part is that there is a lot of disk activity, but I can access and browse the Start Menu which is very fast. Eventually RM Explorer 2 does appear.

    Checking the event logs they look pretty clean, however in the Application log there was one error that caught my attention:

    RM Local Support Tools
    AssignPartition: GetVolumeInformation failed for drive c:\program files\research machines\network management\RM LST SAG\temp\, error was 21, hr = 0xe0001d03, Line: 353, Module: PartitionHelper.cpp. (For full details see RM C3I Engine log files.)
    I don't know if this is causing the slow down, but what exactly does it mean? Searching for 0xe0001d03 in Google comes up with nothing! Many thanks!

    Looks like local support tools has it's knickers in a twist.

    Is this on every machine, or just this user on mulitple machines or?

    Normally, a quick reinstall of LST fixes things like this!

    I've picked three random machines and they all seem to have the error. How would I re-install LST?

    RMMC > Workstations > Main Site, then looking under Allocated System Packages I cannot seem to find anything along the lines of LST or RM Local Support Tools, so where can I find it and what is it named? Thanks

    Found it, it's under Allocated Application Packages - RM LST SAG
