Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this.
I have noticed that the pupils are getting a folder called BAT in their home directory. It contains .tmp files (names like frd1f6.tmp). what ever it is is also trying to store a bat.exe file as well. Ristrictions on the home dirs stop that happening. The dates on these files are from 2004, even though they are new.
I have scanne dwith sophos and malwarebytes and they come up clean.
They are about 1k in size.
does anyone have any idea what they are?
Alan

All scans prove neg (with sophos, avg, etc) and the file is in their home dir (u drive on the network) in a folder called BAT

Upload bat.exe to Online malware scan and see what the results are.
