I have suddenly strated to get the following error when trying to back up my ES from Retrospect.
'Exchange Mailboxes on %servername% is in use by another operation. Wait for it to be available?'
This happens even though my AV software does not scan the mail store or any Retrospect folder, no other backup operations are active and procative backup is disabled. Had anyone else encountered this as it is halting all of my backup system.

We use Retrospect.
How do you find it?
We hate it. It's slow and crappy. Wish I could go back to Veritas.

I'm using Retrospect 6.5 to backup 2 servers and I find it good on one and crap on the other.
Hate their support too, their forum seems to revolve around them suggesting you upgrade.

I have retrospect on my mac server. I never realised quite how sensible Backup exec was to use, if a little long winded.
I get a funny feeling that retrospect is lying to me when its running. None of its backup sizes make sense. Media management is rubbish, unless I'm missing something obvious - I didn't even need a manual for backup exec :/

I use Retrospect and love it. The licensing on it is great too - a fraction of the price of Veritas!
