    Deleting unused/old WSUS updates

The server here ran out of disk space on one of its partitions. The one with WSUS and Squid on it. Causing the internet to break.

WSUS has been running for ~2 years and has acculumlated 11Gb of updates during that time. A lot of the updates will not be nessercery anymore due to being superceeded/declined. Is there a script or a command I can run to instruct it to delete these old/unused updates?

Check out this thread from the WSUS forums

    http://www.wsus.info/forums/index.ph...delete+updates

You need to download the WSUS toolkit from Microsoft and run the WsusDebugTool.exe /Tool:PurgeUnnneededFiles

Making sure that any updates you want deleted are declined. I have not tried it as only been running WSUS for a few months so the drive WSUS is on is not full yet.

Ah cool. I'll give those a go. I think I have the tools already installed on the server from the SUS migration too.
