13th January 2009, 03:23 PM #1 Exchange 2003 - Emails taking apporx 24 Hours to arrive in Users Inbox
Hi,
As the title describes, staff are being told that email are being sent to them, but they are taking up to 24 hours for the email to arrive in their inbox. This is not from one particular business it seems to be from everywhere.
I asked our PA to send me an email this morning at around 8:50, it has just arrived, the email went from an internal Exchange System to a Hosted Exchange System. Usually these email from previous attempts take less than one minute to arrive.
Is there anything I can check to see why the email are taking so long that will determin wether the issue is at our end or our ISP (YHGFL)
Thanks in advance.
Dan

Hi Dan,
We have a similar issue. (also yhgfl)
Some get through instantly, some take hours some take days.
I have an open case with yhgfl

13th January 2009, 05:35 PM #4 Maybe I should log a call as well, since our email is at best erratic. It is so difficult to monitor as some of the email comes through from the LEA and obviously needs to negotiate their system before ever reaching a carrier. Will set the ball rolling tomorrow.

Same problem here also.
(Again YHGFL!)

14th January 2009, 12:03 PM #6 The emails are probably too big and are waiting at the sorting office for you to pay an additional 6p and a £1 handling charge
