Multiple aliases on network
I'm picking up multiple aliases for the same machines. I'm trying to work out where this issue lies, as there's no reason that a machine's name should change (it's the same as the asset tag).
Any ideas? Basically, pinging two different machine names give me the same IP address, and ABControl shows me the same user's working on two machines simultaneously. Is this DNS playing up?

If you use DHCP, is it old DNS records left over from a previous lease showing up?

It could well be. The trouble is I have no way of checking as the LEA control our servers. Cheers dude, I'm going to ask them.
