Have a machine that jumps into a BSOD anything up to a minute after login. It doesn't happen in safe mode though.
What I'd like to do is delete all drivers, and restore them from the driver cache to see if this fixes the issue. Does anyone know the procedure for doing this?
I have a BartPE disk, as I can't get to the recovery console as I get the BSOD when the install disk loads.

11th December 2008, 10:49 AM #3 After the computer POSTs, keep pressing F8 then select "Disable automatic restart on system failure". What BSOD error/code do you get?
If you think it's driver related, within Safe Mode go to Device Manager, highlight the relevant device, press the Delete key and then restart the machine.

11th December 2008, 10:54 AM #4 It's an 8E stop code, which predictably can mean pretty much anything. Apparently the issue started after installing Nero.

11th December 2008, 11:45 AM #7 Well after uninstalling a load of software (nero included) in safe mode, the problem now appears to be fixed.
Cheers for the replies, all!
