    the database is in Access 2003 format.

    So far I'm doing ok, does anyone know how to query on dates?
    I want to produce a list of items due back that day, and those that are late back as well

    FROM yourtable
    WHERE duedate => #01-01-2008#

    that looks pretty much right, although I am basing my SQL expertise on Oracle SQL.

    actually, I've never used Access or SQL before, but it's a doddle!

    He says till he gets stuck!!!!

    I have a working database with the forms doing what I want, and the reports working too. I'm just smartening it up.

    I've found that once you've got the queries working, the rest just follows naturally.

    Mind you, I'm probably doing it wrong!

    what is bugging me is, the stuff can be loaned for 5 days maximum
    How do I set the parameter date() + 5 to stop hires of longer than 5 days?
