2nd December 2008, 10:28 AM #2 I found that our SP2 VLK didn't work with an SP3 disk. Had to go back to using our original key.

2nd December 2008, 10:40 AM #3 At one point at least SP3 had to be integrated manually rather than using a tool like nLite otherwise this kind of problem occoured. The other possibility is that your key has been tagged as in use by pirates and so disabled in teh SP3 build. You would need to request a new VLK from MS in that instance.

2nd December 2008, 10:49 AM #4 It is possible with your key may of been blacklisted, but if this is the case, you need to contact Microsoft or your LA for example and get a new one.
The other problem may be the method you used to slipstream. Using this method works, however there have been reports that slipstreaming XP on Vista or Server 2008 does create errors like you're describing.

2nd December 2008, 12:39 PM #5 Did you create your slipstreamed install from Vista by any chance? Can't find the thread but it seemed to be a known problem that the VLK didn't work when integrated this way where it did when created from XP.
