Ranger for Networks
Just wondering who uses ranger for networks? Im trying to secure the file shares and remove any old stuff...
However,
There needs to be a share called "ranger" on the primary ranger server. We allow students to bring in laptops for use on our network. I've tried this with a standalone pc with wireless access and browsed \\server1 to see all the shares with a student username. The "ranger" share is accessible and so is all the settings and periodic screenshots of problem students we monitor.
I've called Ranger to see if I can remove the students group, they said thats fine and they tested it. I will however also test it and post my results on my live network sometime after school.
So if your using ranger for networks... see if you can also do the same.
NOTE: We are also in the process of setting up hot spots for students personal laptops, but untill then we are locking it all down.
Thanks
