    windows xp activation

    Got a machine with an OEM license that Ive just had to do a reinstall and its looking to be activated. But it cant connect to the activation servers.

    Has MS turned off the activation servers?

    Is it defintely able to connect to the internet? You haven't got a missing driver somewhere along the line have?

    Wonder what port the activation runs on, perhaps it is blocked by firewall?

    Ive never had a problem before. Its set for unfiltered unrestricted access to the internet just now.
