    user profiles

    the pupils all use the same mandantry profile. but for some reason their have been cases were a pupil logs on to a computer and their profile dont load but all of their mapped networked drives are correct but just the desktop.

    this only happens a few times but is abit annoying any ideas

    A good idea is to enable "log users off if roaming user profile fails" in group policy it wont fix the problem but will stop kids having free reign to stuff you dont want them to have access to.

    Could you use logon hours for the kids in AD and then use the 'force logoff when logon hours expire' policy?

    corrupt profile?
    This happens to me and I just delete the profile and let it recreate itself - usually works
