Windows 2000 Small Business Edition CALs
Hi Everyone
Whats the low down on SBS 2000 CAL enforcement? Does it refuse connections past the maximum CALs. Im rebuidling the SBS server and the owner is finding the CALs for me, legally were ok as we do own them, but i want to know if i can proced with the rebuild without connections being refused before we instal the CALs.
Hope someone can help
Regards
Gary

3rd November 2008, 08:51 AM #2 SBS 2003 beeps and logs over used connections along with a popup box but I have not had it refuse connections (3 over at the time) I think that it may get harsher the more over you are though.

3rd November 2008, 12:21 PM #3 My experience is the same as Synack's, it logs the over-use and moans about it but hasn't stopped yet, and in my case its not legally over its just the way it logs Remote Web Workplace I think, but who knows its the usual MS Licencing confusion!
