ISA 2006 - changing firewall client settings automatically?
Hi there,
I followed the instructions on this post:
Firewall Client doesnt detect ISA 2006 server
I setup DHCP and DNS as described in the post and the client is now automatically detecting the server.
The next problem i am up against is that I need to change 50+ firewall clients from manual ISA server to automatically detect the server. I have half of the clients running vista with the latest version of the FW client and the other half are XP Pro. Is there a way I can do this remotely using group policy or something similar. The client works fine if i switch it to auto.
Anyone any tips or ideas on how to automatically change the settings on the firewall client.
Thanks in advance

Hi folks,
Ive come across the following solutions:
- add this following to the logon script:
"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Firewall Client 2004\FwcTool.exe"
SetAutoDetectServer
- it is possible to change the autodetection in the common.ini file on the
client. You can distribute the file via logonscript or something else
Havent had a chance to try them yet but thought it best to share them with you all
Cheers
