Problems accessing MyDocs etc. due to verclsid.exe
I don't know if anyone else has encountered this problem, but I thought I would share the fix, as it is a bit obscure. When accessing shell folders or some websites in IE on machines that have HP Share-To-Web software (or some other HP printer stuff), the application hangs. It is apparently due to an .exe in the latest batch of WinUpdates, verclsid.exe that doesn't like the HP shell extension.
Thanks a lot Micro$oft

I created a .reg fragment to do the registry mod, just rename it to remove the .txt extension and double-click. Use at your own risk etc.
Have fun

Re: Problems accessing MyDocs etc. due to verclsid.exe
Oops. The fix doesn't work on all PCs. A quick look around the web suggests that there is other software (unknown) that also interferes with verclsid.exe, and the fix is specific to HP. The problem is slowly spreading- we've got several machines down now.
I'm going to try uninstalling the MS06-015 patch (Security update 908531)
Any other ideas anyone?
