Remote assistance help needed
Hi guys
i was wondering if any of you use remote assisstance in it support, we are looking at this as you can chat to the teacher to find out the problem, at the mo we use vlc but cannot chat.
The thing is ive not really used it before, is there any way if you placed a shuorcut on there desktop, that when clicked it would automatically send a request to us, and can it be set up so that they cant deny us access to control the laptop?
Thanks

oh and can it be set up so that when the teacher clicks help, it already types the support email and sends the request straight to us?

I use it a couple of times a day to save my legs. It's a bit slow to start up but after that it works very well indeed. Just watch out for the escape key.

You could link to the help page thing, which is what we've done at the administrator's end (where you enter the computer name to connect to, saves time hunting through help). I didn't set that up though, so I don't know how the boss did it.

No. It's designed for the user to be in control of the process, which is why we use it - they are much more reassured than if we just take over.
