Morning all,
Some of the kids have recorded footage from their GCSE projects on to a sony handycam dcr-dvd100e.
I am trying to import the footage into Sony Vegas software as recommended by sony. It appears to import it ok, I can see the footage. But there is no sound.
Files on the camera:
VR_MOVIE.VR
VR_MANGR.IFO
VR_MANG.BUP
Do i need to convert them to something different before going ahead with an import?
Or should I try a different piece of software?
Thank you

I have found thaT THE QUICKEST way to do this is to hook the camera up to a dvd recorder if you have one ( I bought a vhs /dvdrw £80 ) then use Firewire or usb or rgb to connect to recorder and record straight to DVD.
You can then load this into editing software if required if not saves loads of space on my SAN

Unless you've got a A/V capture device?
