We have the SomeHelp Helpdesk installed as a way of us keeping a log of the problems that we fix. Until now we have been using it over a wired connection. Now I have just tried to connect to it with a wireless connection and found that I cannot open it. I can access everything else on the computer, but not the helpdesk.
The helpdesk is a simple access database which you have to "link to" when you first open it.
What is going on?

Sounds like it may need to have the network binding order changed to access it over the wireless connection, which will be a pain every time.
Maybe speak to the company who produced it about it - I assume they're not that big if they're using access
