    Go into the registry

    local machine >> software >> microsoft >> windows >> current version >> run

    and delete any nvidia software launching, they probably have a systray app in there.

    We have a batch file that runs on start up add the line

    reg delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v "QuickTime Task" /f

    That example is quicktime but in your registry it should give you the actual name of the nvidia tray icon.

    Removing those entries in the registry did the job
    I've posted on nvidia forums about removing the right click menu.

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\Con textMenuHandlers\NvCplDesktopContext

    No. This should though...

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NvTray]
    "StartOnLogin"=dword:00000000
    Re: post #7, it's better to delete the registry key through HKLM rather than HKCR.

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Directory\background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\NvCplDesktopContext
