That option doesn't appear on laptops who's settings are controlled by a Domain GPO.

Yeap your right, you would need to do it as an administrator if the offline files configuration stuff has been disabled for users at the GP level.

Incidently, how did you find out that SP3 stops that reg hack working, or did you just try it and get no change in what was happening?
