Strange problem - a fairly simple logon script for students in group policy - maps a shared drive with net use amongst other things.
Just in design students are not getting the shared drive - everywhere else they are fine. Staff get the drive ok in design. The permssions are ok - if i drop the batch file in a test students home folder and run it then the dirve appears. What is causing it not to run on design machines? Nothing really in error logs - a lot of setcbprivilege security errors - but this appears for staff and admin users as well and probably uncoonected. Removed echo off but can't see script running. Looked at group policy for design machines but nothing has changed there and there is nothing to do with user logons.
Maybe connected to updates i have put on machines - but these are the same throughout school.
How can i troubleshoot whether script is running or how it fails?
Any ideas welcome,
thanks Mark

To make logon scripts visible, navigate to: User Config > Admin Templates > System > Scripts
I would also check: User Config > Admin Templates > System
Prevent access to the command prompt
Read the description for more information.

Hi,
when i moved student to staff folder it worked. I had block inhertitance on latest student year group folder but it should have still run script. Took block inheritance off and it worked. Don't really understand because other year group students which where outside this block inheritance folder have now started picking up shared drive as well.
At least it is working - thanks for help on this
