    Trackpad

When logging in to a laptop the trackpad works but then it stops functioning as soon as everything finishes loading. This is probably a really silly question but any ideas why? I thought it could perhaps be to do with the Smart Board but with that disconnected it still doesn't work.

    go to run > MSconfig

stop the trackpad utility from running then try it.

Another helpful thing to check is whether pressing both mouse buttons simultaneously disables it!

I'll remember that for the future. Might try tomorrow on another laptop.
