    Anti-spam for exchange 2007

    Hi All

Can anyone recommend some decent anti-spam software that sits on an exchange 2007 server and is easy to configure. I am trying out Xwall, but all the instructions are for exchange 2003 and cannot make heads nor tails of it. Plus when i try to get it working, it blocks ALL messages into the domain.

    Thanks

    Tim,

Have a look at the off-hosted solution if you looking to only filter inbound mails for spam, virus etc. Emailsystems is what we use and it great, there no software to install on the exchange server and its all fairly easy to setup. Ths pricing is pretty good as welll.

Existing SmoothWall users could do a load worse than our integrated anti-spam, but, if you are looking for a separate package, i'm told GFI is quite good.

Have you tested out the built in anti-spam support of exchange 2007?
(How to Enable Anti-Spam Functionality on a Hub Transport Server to enable it if you have Hub & Transport roles on the same server)

I have the content filter set to reject stuff with an SCL > 7, this works pretty well in conjunction with both zen.spamhaus.org and bl.spamcop.net as block list providers.

There's also a free greylisting script for Exchange 2007 (JEP(S) | Proxmea), though I've not used it myself.

    Cool Exchange 2007

Were now using Sophos Puremessage on our 3 exchange servers, runs great picks up 99% of the spam we get.

I did try out MS Forefront for Exchange, didnt stop a thing, not easy to manage, uninstalled it after a week.

    Hope this helps.

    Eric.
