    Windows update failing behind ISA

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with either ISA or SurfControl.
Got a brand new laptop here, got it on the network and went to windows update page and get an error page (0x80072EFD)
Looking around it seems it either relates to ISA blocking certain things in the update page, or SurfControl expecting authentication from the page which the page doesn't give.
Any ideas on how I'd resolve this. I want to install a WSUS server but don't have the media on site to install IIS so for now windows update is all i have!

What version of ISA is it?

Also do you have caching of Windows update enabled?

    Thanks

ISA 2004. And is the caching an option in ISA?

in that case i have no idea

i've never really used ISA before apart from just making and editing the firewall rules.

I don’t have an ISA install to hand so i can't guide you. Apparently there are some problems with it and disabling might fix it.
