Cant drag and drop

I have a PC that for some reason wont let me drag and drop files. I can cut and paste files but when i try and drag and drop them to the desired location nothing happens. is their a setting on windows that i'm not aware of that can turn this feature on and off? Please can any one shed any light on this before i reinstall the PC.

Right click the Start button and choose Properties

For the Windows Start Menu, click Customise > Advanced tab and tick Enable dragging and dropping

For Windows Classic, click Customise and tick Enable dragging and dropping

Thanks for the suggestion but that option is only for the start menu, it doesnt affect dragging files from folder to folder.

3rd file down contains reg files, merge and all should be fixed

Copy this into notepad and save as draganddrop.reg

After you've run the file, you may need to restart. Could you also check the Escape key isn't wedged down? This also stops you from dragging and dropping
