Hi,
Does anyone know how you can disable the intel graphics taskbar icon and the realtek audio taskbar icon across an entire network? Also, does anyone know how to disable the option whereby users can rotate the screen?
I know this can be done using registry keys. But I don't know what to disable, where to look or what entry I should be making.
Please help.

31st July 2008, 12:02 AM #3 The tray applications almost certainly run from the registry, in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run if you're disabling lots of machines at a time in say a startup script. The msconfig tool makes short work of them on a single machine though, much easier.

A technique I often use is to use regshot (free download) to snapshot the registry, make the change and then re-snapshot. This shows you to see what registry changes need to be made to your systems.
