Grr arrrg not to mention grrr .............. Anyway after rebuilding the file server yesterday and unsucessfully getting an alias to redirect to the original computer name I have started to do some minimal install GPOs . The only problem is that when I try and add a package to the current or a new GPO it says
unable to extract deployment information from the package
Please validate package etc etc. I have tried it from several different servers. I have tried several different packages and I have checked permissions on the share and all seems to be fine. I can manually run packages no problem. I have done the usual googling and ther doesnt seem to be anything that helps.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Chris

It's saying this for ALL MSI packages? Anything else in the event logs?

Ive sorted it. It seems to be related to the installer service on my servers for some reason. I added them from my workstation and they worked fine :?
