Its bad they dont tell you until AFTER its too late isn't it?
That should be something either blantantly pointed out or fixed in a update/patch you would have thought.

Yep, Life goes on Nath.
They didn't tell me afterwards though - it looks like it's all news to them. The part I quoted earlier was from a reply from them about where the files are kept. They don't seem to realise the a repair would wipe out everything.
It is a good product though, and I can't imagine life without it tbh.
Indeed
What Ghost product have you got then exactly?
Nath.
Ghost Corporate 8.0
Do you bother with the ghost console and that sorta stuff then?
In the past, I've just used the Ghost Server proggy and Ghostcasted - but I'll probably use RIP if it goes well
Nath.
Yes, I always use the ghost console with sysprep etc., works great.
The one thing I haven't done is use the AI builder thing. Have you?

I alsways found the AI thingy a little lame - building MSIs is done in much the same way and these can be deployed with GPOs (and they are self healing!)Originally Posted by eejit

Cheers

The AI thingy is basically a snapshot-style package builder - in the same vein as the Veritas one that is packaged with 2K Server.
Ghost then does some joggery pokery to install the AI packages after you restore the image to the machine.
Sounds fun
never had server 2kso wouldnt know about that one
Handy info tho cheers Ric
Nath

Not checked the 2003 server disc but it's prob there under 3rd party tools.Originally Posted by tarquel
