SONY vegas studio avi codec problem

for those who have given up on trying to play avi media on vegas 6, 7 etc, i have found a codec that works.

go to this link Download the DivX Codec and DivX Player - DivX Movies

download divx codec 6.8.2

double click on DivXInstaller.exe

when you get to the choose components page just select the codec nothing else

complete the install then avi will work in vegas.
