I have a vista laptop here with a full C drive even though there isn't much on it. there is a windows.old folder with stuff in it... does this get used by vista?

Thats usually the folder that you get when you reinstall / upgrade your OS without formatting it. I doubt Vista would access it, but I'm not gonna say delete it just in case. You could try renaming it to something else though. See if it throws a wobbly back at you.

Yeah I remember seeing that at the Vista imaging conference I went to... upgrade doesn't actually "upgrade" as such... more of a side-by-side install leaving the old XP files there afterwards![]()
