PC's randomly pick up wrong proxy address

We have 300 PC's on our network we have about 5 that randomely pick up an incorrect proxy setting (isndcache) that we used to use 4 yrs ago. The rest of the PC's are fine. We have tried diferent users with different profiles. 1 PC was fine for 3 days then it reverted to wrong the address. Can anyone help me resolve this problem

    Thanks

I had the same problem. What seems to have worked is copying the Default User folder from a PC (same model) over the Default User folder on the machine that is playing up. (First I made a copy of the existing file and renamed it in case the fix didn't work).

Do you have loopback set in group policy? We had a problem with group policy and loopback be just set the proxy settings on the same level as the loopback.

You could try a gpupdate /force on the 5 problematic machines. If it were a profile issue, I think the problem would be more widespread.

If you've verified your GPOs in all OUs, I would also recommend you enforce the policy so it makes it impossible to change. It's all greyed out.
